I had the great pleasure of doing another engagement photo shoot for some friends of mine over the weekend and it was such a pleasure working with such a fun couple. Their love for each other really showed through in the photos and I'm excited to continue my post processing over the next couple weeks enjoying their beautiful faces. Dave and Tera your awesome!

Starburst- Joel Grimes Workshop
I took a photography workshop from an amazing photographer named Joel Grimes this last weekend. I learned so much from the workshop. This shot is from one of the lighting setups he thought up for us on the spot. He rocks! Needless to say I really had an amazing time.
The light was created from two 5 foot parabolic shoot through umbrellas one in front of the model and one behind. Using White Lightning Strobes. Needless to say I was really stoked with the results.

Best friends
One of my favorite things about photography is taking photo's for people and being able to give them as gifts. This last weekend a friend of ours ,Sarah, had her birthday and I was able give her this print of her and her two best friends! It felt really good to use all my skills up to this point to do something nice for her. To me that is what photography is all about and brings such a satisfying feeling to my life!

Jenn at the Market
I have been really inspired lately by several of my favorite photographers. One of which is fantastic with color and uses a lot of "color tinting" in his photo's. This picture was great practice for me in exploring fun ways to get different feelings of color out of my photo's and I think it turned out really well!

For all Those fighting for our Country
My triplet brother deployed to Afghanistan on Monday to spend a very long year fighting for our country. To all of you who have family over seas, I thank you for your sacrifice and now understand the emotions and worry that go along with saying good bye to someone you love for so long. I just pray that God will protect him and bring him home safe! I love you bro! Fight hard and be safe!
